A Special Notice to all TRACE ME Smart ID Annual Members
We are confident that your TRACE ME Smart ID will protect your bag from loss in almost all situations. However, sometimes accidents do happen.
If you have a registered, paid up Annual Membership with TRACE ME, you may be eligible for additional support via our Product Performance Warranty (PPW) if something goes wrong.
In the unlikely event that your checked luggage, featuring one of our tags, is declared lost by your airline, and provided you have complied with our PPW terms and conditions (see below), we will reimburse you a fixed sum of USD $500, or the equivalent in your local currency.

Terms and conditions
- For technical reasons, the Product Performance Warranty (PPW) is only available on certain TRACE ME Products which are subject to an Annual Membership. The PPW is not available on Self-Print or paper tags, on “Lifetime” tags or any other product which has no expiration date, nor on any other tags issued with a life under one year. In the unlikely event that you experience a total bag loss, please email our customer services with your tag number and they will be happy to confirm your PPW eligibility.
- The PPW will not be reimbursed if the Smart ID was not registered prior to being used.
- Your Smart ID must have been attached to the item of luggage lost and Smart ID membership must be paid in full.
- The only person who can claim the PPW is the person who registered the Smart ID.
- The person registered for the TRACE ME Tag must have completed the airline’s Property Irregularity Report (PIR) at your final destination airport. Without the PIR no reimbursement will be considered.
- Send a photo of the completed PIR to support@tmlt.co.uk or complete and attach to the form below.
- You should receive a letter of acknowledgment from the airline that was carrying your bag that your bag has been lost and where appropriate, financial compensation from the airline has been paid. This information must be sent to support@tmlt.co.uk.
- Your Warranty claim will be assessed within 21 days of receipt, provided all information in points 6 And 7 are present and correct. You will be advised by email, and asked to provide us with your designated bank details and preferred currency.
- A successful claim will be paid within 14 days after we receive confirmation of your bank and currency details based on the information you send us.
- Any payment made under the PPW shall be limited to a maximum of USD $500 per lost piece of luggage per eligible tag, and shall be in full and final settlement of any claim you may have against us or any of our distributors, agents or other persons.
